Roof & Skylight Overhaul in Sarasota, FL

This recently completed project at 4071 Redbird Cir in Sarasota showcases our expertise in handling complex roofing challenges, from significant pre-existing damage to detailed, high-performance installations. When the homeowner needed a robust and reliable solution for their tarped and damaged roof, Rooster Roofing delivered a complete system designed for security and style.

The project, valued at $30,000, was a full-scale shingle roof replacement that addressed significant wear and tear. A large portion of the old roof was failing and temporarily protected by a tarp, necessitating a swift and thorough response.

Our team expertly installed a new roof using Owens Corning TruDefinition® Duration® shingles in the popular Quarry Gray color. These architectural shingles are not only aesthetically pleasing with their dimensional look but also engineered for superior performance. Featuring SureNail® Technology and a 130-MPH wind resistance warranty, they provide the homeowner with exceptional protection. The clean look was finished with a crisp, white drip edge.

A key feature of this project was the replacement of three skylights. We installed one small and two large dark bronze, curb-mounted Kennedy High Impact skylights. Crucially, these are Miami-Dade County Approved (MD-ICMG), meaning they have passed the rigorous testing required for High-Velocity Hurricane Zones and are built to resist large missile impacts, offering the ultimate peace of mind.

Beyond the main roof, the project included detailed repair work, such as replacing 17 feet of wooden fascia to ensure the entire roofline is sound and secure.

In a unique and charming addition to the project, we also extended our services to shingle a 1.2-square-foot tree house on the property. We used the same high-quality OC Quarry Gray shingles and white drip edge at cost, ensuring even the smallest structure received the best protection and a look to match the main house.

This project, successfully completed under permit RES-ROOF-25-005432, is a prime example of our commitment to comprehensive solutions, high-quality materials, and meticulous attention to every detail, no matter how small.
